The gilded copper badge features a swastika surrounded by a ring bearing the inscription: “Für Leistunger in der HJ” (For the deserving in the HJ) in runic script, placed in front of a large tiwaz rune, surrounded by a narrow laurel wreath. On February 8, 1944, at the second commemoration of Todt's death, Hitler awarded the Dr.-Fritz-Todt-Preis as the Nazi Party's badge of honor for “innovative achievements of great importance to the people's community in improving its weapons, munitions and military equipment, and in saving labor, raw materials and energy”. The badge of honor was accompanied by a material prize and a certificate, and was awarded in the form of a gold, silver or steel medal. The gold badge of honor was awarded by Hitler himself on the recommendation of the Gauleiter responsible, on the joint recommendation of Robert Ley , Director of the Corresponding Leaders of the Deutsche Arbeitsfront and the NSDAP, and the Director of the “NSDAP Central Office for Technology”, Albert Speer.

The Reichsnährstand (RNST) was a corporate organization of the agricultural economy and agricultural policy of the German Reich from 1933 to 1945, which was established as a corporation under public law (autonomous company) with its own articles of association, budget, membership fees and civil service law, and existed until 1948. Since 1933, the headquarters of the Reichsführer Landesgemeinschaft had been Goslar, which would later become the Reich's peasant town. The Reich Harvest Festival was celebrated between 1933 and 1937 as a central event on the Bückeberg near Hameln .

The RNST's work focused primarily on controlling the production, distribution and prices of agricultural products. The social and cultural interests of its members also formed part of its tasks.

Over the years, persistent conflicts between the RNST, the Gauleiters and the German Labor Front led to an erosion of organizational self-administration. Thus, the RNST, which pursued policy as a “semi-state” institution within the polycratically organized National Socialist system of government, became increasingly an instrument of the Ministry of Agriculture and the party with the onset of the Second World War.

Towards the end of the war, in 1944, the mountain rescue service was even subordinated to military units.

The NSDAP (National Socialist German Workers' Party) was founded in Munich on January 5, 1919 as the DAP (German Workers' Party). When Adolf Hitler joined the DAP in the autumn of 1919, he had to transform what had been a mere debating society into an active political party. Appointed the party's first president on July 29, 1921, Hitler had to restructure it along paramilitary lines, with a four-tier hierarchy. Please note: although the precise date of creation of this badge is not known, it is estimated at between January 1920 and September 1921, based on a sketch made by Hitler.

In 1920, Adolf Hitler, the NSDAP's propaganda chief, designed the party flag (red background, white circle, black swastika). In Mein Kampf, he details this episode, and in particular his choice of red and black, the colors of the German Empire, but also so as not to leave the monopoly of red to Communism. He also composes the first party posters, and a sketch of what will become the NSDAP membership badge.

Standard membership badge awarded to all members when they officially join the party. Stamped alloy badge, 25 mm in diameter. Made of multicolored enamel, the badge features a translucent red circular outer border with the raised silver inscription “NATIONAL-SOZIALSTISCHE-DAP”, surrounded by a white enamel field adorned with a slanted black swastika.
It wasn't until the end of 1934 that the RZM mark appeared on the back of this badge. Items manufactured for the NSDAP, and other Nazi formations, including membership badges, were subject to quality control by the RZM (National Equipment Intendant) and thus marked with the RZM logo.

The NSDAP Golden Badge of Honor (official name in German: Goldenes Ehrenzeichen der NSDAP) or the abbreviated Golden Party Badge (literal translation of the abbreviated German formula: Goldenes Parteiabzeichen) was a special award of the National Socialist German Workers' Party.

It was awarded to the first 100,000 members of the party (the party membership number is engraved on the reverse), and was also awarded to individuals at Adolf Hitler's discretion (these badges had the initials “A.H.” engraved on the reverse of the symbol).

The NSDAP gold badge of honor had a full gold crown. The badge was issued in two sizes: 30.5 mm for uniforms and 24 mm for civilian jackets.

The badge was awarded to the first 100,000 party members. Hitler also awarded it to high dignitaries of the Third Reich: the NSDAP elite. Alte Kämpfer (“Old Fighters”) is the term used for those who joined the NSDAP before 1930. Those who joined the Nazi party after the party's electoral breakthrough in the 1930 Reichstag elections were admitted to the group known as Septemberlinge des Alte Kämpfer. After Adolf Hitler and the Machtergreifung in 1933, many Germans wanted to join the NSDAP. The “Golden Present” became an insignia of great pride in Germany, and new members looked at it with great care, as it could arouse jealousy because it represented an uncommon idealism. The “basic” Nazi party badge worn by new members was called Die Angstbrosche (“Medal of Fear”) by the Old Fighters.

Adolf Hitler's gold Nazi Party badge of honor bore the number 1. He gave it to Magda Goebbels in his bunker before committing suicide. She said it was “the greatest honor a German woman can receive”. It was awarded to her because, in Hitler's words, she was “the greatest mother of the Reich”.
Adolf Hitler's badge, found in the bunker, was exhibited in a Russian museum, but was stolen during an exhibition in 2005.

The badge bears the inscription: 6.DEUTSCH JAPAN.AKAD TAGUNG at the top and, below, the inscription: ST CHRISTOPH AM ARLBERG TIROL. Fully enameled in red, white and black, on silver-plated metal. On the reverse is the manufacturer's mark RZM, M1/122. This rather large badge, 3.5 cm in diameter, features a classic pin. The front features the Nazi and Japanese flags, the Hitler Youth eagle and the date 1944.

The alliance between Nazi Germany and Japan during the Second World War was known as the Axis Alliance. Although there is no precise information on an enamelled badge from 1944, it is possible that such brooches existed at the time as propaganda or commemorative objects. This badge could have been a symbol of the alliance between Germany and Japan, displaying elements or symbols associated with both countries, corresponding to the 6th conference held in 1944.

During the Second World War, Germany and Japan formed a strategic alliance, primarily motivated by their common enemies: the Allied Powers, including the USA, the UK and the Soviet Union. The alliance with the Axis was not limited to a military partnership, but also included economic cooperation and the sharing of technology and resources.

The meaning and design of insignia from this era can vary. They could represent national symbols, military emblems or slogans associated with the Nazi regime or the Empire of Japan. Enamelled badges were a common form of propaganda and a means of demonstrating loyalty to the Axis cause.

A Gau was a geographical region of Nazi Germany, corresponding to the Länder (German federal states). Gau badges were considered party awards, but were not recognized as national distinctions. The conditions for awarding them, as well as the different levels of distinction, were set by the Gauleiter. They could be worn permanently, except with the gold party badge. The Sudeten Reichsgau was an administrative division of Nazi Germany from 1939 to 1945. It comprised the northern part of the Sudetenland territory, which was annexed to Czechoslovakia under the Munich Agreement of September 30, 1938. Reichsgau was ruled by former Sudeten German party leader, now Nazi party official Konrad Henlein , as Gauleiter and Reichsstatthalter . From October 1938 to May 1939, it was the regional subdivision of the Nazi Party in this region, also under Henlein's leadership. The administrative capital was Reichenberg.

Many badges were awarded by the German Gau (party administrative districts) for outstanding service to the Nazi cause. This badge was the only one to be awarded by more than one Gau, and came in two different versions, dated “1923” and “1925”.
