The badge bears the inscription: 6.DEUTSCH JAPAN.AKAD TAGUNG at the top and, below, the inscription: ST CHRISTOPH AM ARLBERG TIROL. Fully enameled in red, white and black, on silver-plated metal. On the reverse is the manufacturer's mark RZM, M1/122. This rather large badge, 3.5 cm in diameter, features a classic pin. The front features the Nazi and Japanese flags, the Hitler Youth eagle and the date 1944.

The alliance between Nazi Germany and Japan during the Second World War was known as the Axis Alliance.
