The Nazi Party Long Service Medal ( Die Dienstauszeichnung der NSDAP ), also known as the NSDAP Long Service Award, was a political award in the form of a Nazi Party badge.

It was awarded in three grades: ten, fifteen and twenty-five years of service. On the reverse of each award was the German inscription Treue für Führer und Volk (“Loyalty to the Leader and the People”). The service award was a four-pointed cross ( Ordenskreuz ) with slightly curved arms. At the center of the cross was the national eagle crowned with oak leaves. Between the branches were rays suspended from a 30 mm ribbon. On April 2, 1939, Adolf Hitler ordered that it be awarded to NSDAP members, both men and women, who met certain conditions. The award was presented for the first time on January 30, 1940.

Although the Nazi movement lasted just over 25 years (1920-1945), the awards were made well before the end of the declared years of service. Indeed, the period between 1925 and 1933 was known to the Nazis as Kampfzeit (“Time of Struggle”). The length of service for the award of the distinction was double counted from February 1925 to January 1933. Service with any Nazi party organization or formation was included. Service had to be uninterrupted, with the exception of :

Compulsory military service, not to exceed two years.
Military service against the Republican government during the Spanish Civil War (1936 to 1939).
German military service after September 1939.

NSDAP 10-year service medal
The ten-year service medal was a 3rd class award. It was a 43 mm bronze medal, suspended from a 30 mm dark brown ribbon, decorated with two thin white stripes. The inscription on the reverse was in relief.

Medal for 15 years of NSDAP service
This had the same design as the 3rd class decoration, but was silver-plated, with dark blue enamel on the arms of the four-pointed cross and on the central part, inside the oak-leaf wreath. The inscription on the reverse was in blue enamel with silver lettering. The 30 mm ribbon was blue with two thin silver-gray lateral stripes.

Medal for 25 years of NSDAP service
The medal for twenty-five years of service was the first-class award. It was of the same design as the second-class award, but a gold plate replaced the silver plate, with white enamel on the arms of the four-pointed cross and on the central part, inside the oak-leaf wreath. The inscription on the reverse was in white enamel with gold lettering. The ribbon, 30 mm wide, was red, with white stripes around the edges and a small gold band in the center. This rank was sometimes awarded posthumously.

When one of these distinctions was awarded to a man, it was worn on the bar of the left breast pocket. Women wore it as a necklace or brooch, suspended from a 15 mm ribbon. On the small bar, the ribbon was adorned with a small national eagle in a crown, in the colors of the class concerned. All three classes of this award could be worn simultaneously.

The Schutzstaffel (SS), German police and army had similar decorations. The SS service decoration was awarded in four-, eight-, twelve- and twenty-five-year increments. The police service decoration was awarded in eight-, eighteen-, twenty-five- and forty-year increments (never awarded). The German armed forces decoration, known as the Wehrmacht service decoration, was awarded for four years (fourth class), twelve years (third class), eighteen years (second class), twenty-five years (first class) and forty years (special class of 1939).
